Lily Allen has left her singing career very much behind her in favour of fashion. She has started her very own Vintage Store called Lucy In Disguise based in Covent Garden and will be opening on Sept 18th. Her partner in vintage is her half sister Sarah Owen.
Lily got her foot in the fashion door by modeling in a very successful Chanel advertising campaign and also featuring on the cover of ELLE 3 times in one year - we think she has a very good grounding for owning her fashion store.
Lily told Grazia Magazine - "I feel like the naughty kid who just dropped out of school. People think it's amazing being a pop star, but for all the good things that happen, you end up getting burnt, sad and losing a sense of who you are. I want to be doing something I love with real value, that will work with me having kids". "I've take stuff out of storage, clothes from stage, shoots, red carpets..." explains Lily. "We're putting out clothes that can be worn again, which is pretty ethical, and there's going to be absolutely no elitism or snobbery about this store."
The store is designed as a house with boudoir area, a dining room, a PlayStation crash pad for bored boyfriends, a hair salon and a private club room. - Sounds pretty awesome to us. We cant wait to visit!
We say good on Lily Allen, we love vintage clothing, and the fact Lily is following her passion is great. GO LILY!
